So, basically, I don’t give the title “Best Friend” to anybody. I gave up on giving said title around freshman year. Calling someone my “best friend” just makes me uncomfortable. 

My friend, of who I am the best friend, just texted me, asking if she was mine.

I didn’t really know how to respond, so I just told her the truth: I don’t have a best friend. I care very much about people and individuals, but I don’t think I could ever call ANYONE that. Not anymore. It used to be where I had a best friend, but they all either moved or left in some other way. I can’t make myself have that again. 

Sorry. I needed to get this out.
